Before you leave to the Airport, check the following things,

1.    Your passport with Visa.
2.    All the documents which I have sent.
3.    Air tickets.
4.    Travel itinerary.
5.    Keep $25.00 to $50.00 currency in your pocket (Not more than that). Rest in safe place.
6.    Keep Rs. 3000.00 or so (But not more than Rs. 5000.00) for paying Airport tax at the international Airport in India (in US you don’t have to pay anything). I think it         is somewhere around Rs. 750 per person.
7.    Insurance documents.
8.    Do not keep more than 2 hand baggage per person (I suggest a single hand baggage for comfortable travel).
       You can bring 2 suitcases per person (70 lbs. OR 32 Kg. /suitcase).
9.    This letter.
10.  Tablets for gas/stomach upset. Vicks, Amruthanjan Strong.
11.   Long thick sox, to wear. It may be cold inside the aircraft.
12.   Sweaters to wear inside aircraft.
13.   Towels
14.    Keep all the above mentioned things handy (Keep everything in hand baggage)



    Before arriving at U.S.A., you are required to fill an Arrival and Departure (I-94) form, which will be, supplied by the Airhostess during the flight. There will be simple questions to answer (Like First Name, Last name, passport number, visa number, date of visa issued, date of passport issued, place of passport issued, passport expiry date, address where you stay in U.S.) fill up everything properly in BLOCK letters. (If you find difficulty in filling that, ask the Airhostess for help).

The Port Of Entry is [Airport name]. After arriving in the airport, Look for the signs of baggage claim and follow the signs and arrows posted on the Top. By following the fellow passengers, you will reach the baggage collection area.. Read the signs posted and follow the fellow passengers to Walk within the airport.

If confused, ask for assistance to the officers in duty. They are very helpful. Proceed to baggage collection, take a “trolley/cart” and pick up the bag from the Conveyer belt. There are several conveyer belts revolving. See the flight number Displayed and match it to find the correct belt.

1.    When you arrive at [airport], you have to go through immigration. Have your passport, visa and all other documents handy. They may ask few simple question, here they are.

Q. How long are you willing to stay in United States?
A. 6 months or till the validity of the visa.

Q. Where are you going to stay?
A. At my son-in-law and daughter's place in Westland, Michigan
And some other simple questions, like what is your [relations] ? Etc.

2.  He / She at the immigration counter will attach an I-94 card to your Visa (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT DO NOT LOSE THIS AT ANY COST, THIS IS THE PROOF           THAT YOU HAVE ENTERED U.S. LEGALLY).


3. Once you are through with the immigration, collect all your luggages and proceed to exit

4. Never ever bring vegetables
